Refund Policy for Rome Public Adjusting

Last Updated: July 23, 2025

At Rome Public Adjusting, our mission is to provide expert, compassionate, and ethical advocacy, guiding clients on their journey to a just and full recovery. Our commitment to caring for people extends to transparent and fair dealings regarding our services and fees. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be provided for services rendered by Rome Public Adjusting.

1. General Principles

  • All services provided by Rome Public Adjusting are governed by a formal, written Client Service Agreement (or Public Adjuster Contract) executed between Rome Public Adjusting and the client. This agreement will detail the specific terms, scope of work, and fee structure applicable to your chosen service. This Refund Policy should be read in conjunction with your Client Service Agreement.

2. Refund Policy for Comprehensive Public Adjusting (Full Advocacy)

  • Fee Structure: This service operates on a contingency fee basis. Our fee is a pre-agreed percentage of the final insurance claim settlement obtained due to our involvement.

  • "No Recovery, No Fee": If Rome Public Adjusting is unable to secure an insurance claim settlement for you, you will not be charged a fee for our core public adjusting services. In such cases, no refund will be necessary as no fee would have been collected for those services.

  • Termination of Agreement: Should a client terminate the Client Service Agreement for Full Advocacy prior to a settlement being secured, the terms regarding any potential fees for services rendered up to the point of termination will be exclusively governed by the specific clauses within the signed Client Service Agreement. Generally, clients may be responsible for reasonable costs or a pro-rated fee for services already completed if termination occurs before a settlement. This will always be clearly defined in your agreement.

3. Refund Policy for Claim Investigation & Documentation Package (DIY Aid)

  • Fee Structure: This service is charged on a project-specific basis, as detailed in your Client Service Agreement (e.g., $200 per hour). Payment for this service is due as agreed upon in the Client Service Agreement, regardless of your subsequent claim outcome.

  • Conditions for Refund:

    • Prior to Work Commencing: A full refund may be issued if you cancel your request for the Claim Investigation & Documentation Package and no substantial work (e.g., site inspection, documentation, or estimate generation) has commenced by Rome Public Adjusting. Notification of cancellation must be received in writing (email acceptable) within 5 days of signing the Client Service Agreement and prior to any work beginning.

    • Partial Refund (Service Not Fully Provided): In rare instances where Rome Public Adjusting is unable to complete the agreed-upon Claim Investigation & Documentation Package due to unforeseen circumstances on our part (e.g., our inability to access the property, or other direct operational limitations), a partial refund or credit may be issued, commensurate with the portion of the service not rendered. This will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

    • No Refund (Service Completed): No refunds will be provided once the Claim Investigation & Documentation Package has been substantially completed and delivered to the client as per the Client Service Agreement. The value of this service lies in the expert documentation and case preparation, which is provided irrespective of the client's subsequent success in negotiating their own claim. Our commitment is to provide a high-quality, comprehensive packet for your use.

  • Processing Refunds: Approved refunds for the Documentation Package will be processed within 14 business days of approval.

4. How to Request a Refund All refund requests must be submitted in writing (email is acceptable) to Rome Public Adjusting, clearly stating the reason for the request and referencing your Client Service Agreement. Please use the contact information provided below.
